Red Rey is a Filipino-Australian performance artist and DJ based between Paris and Sydney. Their practice holds the body as its central focus, using movement, costume, objects and video which unfold as intimate, site-responsive, roving or participatory encounters, inviting the audience into a performance world.

As a performance artist, they view the body as transformable. Their queerness shapes how they approach gender and intimacy through the ability of the body to transmute between states and perform roles in society. The body retains memory. As a Filipino diasporic artist, the seed of their work often begins with cultural memory, both experienced and inherited. Red Rey has presented work at the 25th Biennale of Sydney (2026), Dark Mofo (2025), 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art (2025), Art Gallery of NSW (2022), 23rd Biennale of Sydney (2022), and Soft Centre for Vivid Festival (2022). They were a YBDG summer dance school resident (2026) and Brand X Multi-Arts Resident (2025),

As a DJ, their curation ranges between techno and global queer club sounds. They have performed internationally at events such as Boiler Room, Flash Cocotte Paris, FancyHIM Tokyo, Stampffabrik festival Germany and at iconic venues such as the Sydney Opera House, FVTVR Paris, BBCB Seoul and Apotheka Manila.
